होटल में चल रहे अवैध कैसीनो पर पुलिस का छापा, चार लाख नकदी के साथ 45 गिरफ्तार
नैनीताल। नैनीताल-हल्द्वानी रोड स्थित होटल में चल रहे कैसीनो से पुलिस ने देर रात चार लाख की नकदी के साथ 33 लोगों को गिरफ्तार किया है। इनमें 12 महिलाएं भी शामिल हैं जो जुआ खेल रहे लोगों को शराब परोस रहीं थीं। मामले में मुकदमा दर्ज कर पुलिस ने सभी को गिरफ्तार कर लिया है। वहीं होटल का मैनेजर छापे के बाद से फरार है। पकड़े गए सभी लोग दिल्ली, सहारनपुर, हरिद्वार, फरीदाबाद, हरियाणा और यूपी आदि क्षेत्रों के रहने वाले हैं। एसएसपी पीएन मीणा ने मंगलवार को यहां पत्रकार वार्ता में मामले का खुलासा किया। उन्होंने बताया कि मुखबिर की सूचना पर सीओ नितिन लोहनी के नेतृत्व में तल्लीताल पुलिस ने सोमवार देर रात डोलमार स्थित होटल रिवर व्यू में छापा मारा।
छापे के दौरान होटल में अवैध रूप से चल रहे कैसोनी का पर्दाफाश हुआ। सामने पुलिस को देख कैसीनो में जुआ खेल रहे लोगों में अफरातफरी मच गई। वे वहां से भागने की कोशिश करने लगे। एक व्यक्ति मौके से फरार होने में कामयाब रहा जबकि पुलिस ने 12 युवतियों समेत 33 आरोपियों को पकड़ लिया। एसएसपी मीणा ने बताया कि कैसीनो संचालक इंद्रापुरम, गाजियाबाद (यूपी) निवासी सूरज पाल गुप्ता समेत 33 लोगों के खिलाफ सार्वजनिक जुआ अधिनियम व आबकारी अधिनियम के तहत मुकदमा दर्ज कर दिया है। मौके से चार वाहन भी बरामद हुए हैं जिन्हें सीज कर दिया गया है। पकड़े गए आरोपियों को कोर्ट में पेश किया गया।
एसएसपी मीणा ने बताया कि छापे के दौरान कैसीनो के फड़ से चार लाख रुपये नकद बरामद किए। साथ ही पकड़े गए लोगों की तलाशी में उनके पास से एक लाख 68 हजार रुपये मिले। 3692 कैसीनो चिप्स, ताश की आठ गड्डियां व अलग-अलग ब्रांड की शराब की 12 बोतल और अन्य सामान बरामद किया गया है। एसएसपी ने कहा कि पुलिस जिले के सभी होटलों व रिजॉर्ट पर नजर बनाए हुए है। कहीं भी अवैध रूप से जुआ खेलने व अवैध रूप से शराब परोसने की शिकायत मिली तो ठोस कार्रवाई होगी। बताया कि इस कार्य में जिला प्रशासन व पर्यटन विभाग से भी मदद मांगी जा रही है। एसएसपी ने कहा कि क्षेत्र में पुलिस टीम की ओर से कैसीनो में 33 लोगों की गिरफ्तारी सराहनीय है।
कहा कि टीम को 2500 रुपया नकद इनाम दिया जा रहा है। एसपी क्राइम व यातायात डॉ. जगदीश चंद्रा के नेतृत्व में सीओ नितिन लोहनी, एसओ तल्लीताल रोहिताश सागर, ज्योलीकोट चौकी इंचार्ज नरेंद्र कुमार व एसओजी प्रभारी राजबीर नेगी समेत 20 लोग टीम में मौजूद थे। एसएसपी ने बताया कि डोलमार स्थित रिवर व्यू होटल का स्वामी कौन है इस संबंध में जानकारी जुटाई जा रही है। जानकारी मिलने के बाद होटल स्वामी के खिलाफ भी कार्रवाई की जाएगी।
