मुख्यमंत्री ने दीपावली पर्व पर दी 130 नई बसों की सौगात
उत्तराखण्ड परिवहन निगम के बेड़े में में शामिल हुई बी.एस.-06 मॉडल की ये बसें

देहरादून। मुख्यमंत्री ने कहा कि आज उत्तराखंड परिवहन निगम के बेड़े में 130 नई बसों को शामिल कर राज्य के विकास में एक और महत्वपूर्ण कड़ी जुड़ रही है। आधुनिक तकनीक से युक्त नई बसें हमारे राज्य के परिवहन तंत्र को सशक्त बनाने की दिशा में एक महत्वपूर्ण कदम साबित होंगी। ये बसें न केवल यात्रियों को सुरक्षित, सुविधाजनक और किफायती यात्रा का अनुभव प्रदान करेंगी, बल्कि प्रदेश की आर्थिक, सामाजिक और पर्यटन गतिविधियों में भी नई ऊर्जा का संचार भी करेंगी। उन्होंने कहा कि उत्तराखण्ड की भौगोलिक परिस्थितियां अन्य राज्यों की तुलना में चुनौतीपूर्ण हैं। राज्य के दुर्गम और सुदूरवर्ती ग्रामीण क्षेत्र बुनियादी सुविधाओं के लिए हमारे परिवहन नेटवर्क पर ही निर्भर हैं।
मुख्यमंत्री ने कहा कि पर्यटन क्षेत्र उत्तराखण्ड की अर्थव्यवस्था की रीढ़ हैं। ऐसे में प्रभावी परिवहन तंत्र न केवल यात्रियों की सुविधा के लिए अति-आवश्यक है, बल्कि आर्थिक विकास में भी अपना योगदान देता है। राज्य के हर कोने को बेहतर सड़क नेटवर्क और विश्वसनीय परिवहन सेवाओं से जोड़ना हमारा संकल्प है। उन्होंने कहा कि सरकार उत्तराखंड परिवहन निगम को मजबूती प्रदान करने के लिए निरंतर कार्य कर रही है। जहाँ कुछ वर्ष पूर्व तक हमारा परिवहन निगम 500 करोड़ से भी अधिक के घाटे में था। पिछले तीन वर्षों से परिवहन निगम लगातार मुनाफे में है। इसके लिए उन्होंने परिवहन निगम के अधिकारियों और कर्मचारियों के कार्यों की प्रशंसा भी की।
मुख्यमंत्री ने कहा कि इस दशक को उत्तराखण्ड का दशक बनाने के लिए हम आगे बढ़ रहे हैं। आज अनेक क्षेत्रों में उत्तराखण्ड देश की अग्रणी राज्यों की श्रेणी में शामिल है। नीति आयोग द्वारा जारी सतत विकास लक्ष्यों में राज्य को प्रथम स्थान मिला है, इसे बनाये रखना हमारे लिए चुनौती है। राज्य की जीएसडीपी तेजी से बढ़ी है और बेरोजगारी दर घटी है। जल्द ही बस बेड़े में इलेक्ट्रिक बसों का भी समावेश किया जायेगा। सरकार अपने चालक-परिचालकों की समस्याओं से भी भलीभांति परिचित है। इसके लिए चाहे डीए में बढ़ोतरी हो, 7वें वेतन आयोग की सिफारिशों को लागू करना हो या निगम में भर्तियों के माध्यम से मैन-पावर की समस्या का समाधान करना हो, हम पूरी प्रतिबद्धता के साथ उनके कल्याण के लिए कार्य कर रहे हैं। इस दीपावली के अवसर पर सेवाएं देने वाले चालकों, परिचालकों और तकनीकी कर्मचारियों को प्रोत्साहन राशि देने का भी फैसला किया गया है।
विधायक विनोद चमोली ने कहा कि मुख्यमंत्री पुष्कर सिंह धामी के नेतृत्व में एक ही बार में बसों के बेड़े में 10 प्रतिशत की वृद्धि राज्य के लिए एक बड़ी सौगात है। इससे जहां लोगों का आवागमन सुगम होगा वहीं लोगों को अपनी विरासत से जोड़ने का कार्य मुख्यमंत्री ने किया है। उन्होंने कहा कि परिवहन निगम को और फायदे में लाने के लिए निरंतर प्रयास जरूरी है। आईएसबीटी का सौन्दर्यीकरण के साथ ही अतिक्रमण को रोकने के लिए निरंतर प्रयास करने होंगे।
