गर्मी का प्रकोप बढ़ते ही कई इलाकों में गहराने लगा पेयजल संकट
ऋषिकेश। जून में गर्मी बढ़ते ही तीर्थनगरी ऋषिकेश के कई इलाकों में पीने के पानी की सप्लाई लड़खड़ा गई है। मायाकुंड क्षेत्र के 400 से अधिक परिवार बीते एक सप्ताह से पानी का संकट झेल रहे हैं। चंद्रभागा में लो-प्रेशर की समस्या के चलते लोगों को पर्याप्त पानी नहीं मिल रहा है। पेयजल संकट से जूझ रहे लोगों ने समस्या के स्थायी समाधान का मामला उठाया है।
गंगा किनारे बसे मायाकुंड क्षेत्र के लोग पिछले एक सप्ताह से पीने के पानी की समस्या से परेशान है। क्षेत्र में पेयजल आपूर्ति बाधित होने से घरों में नल शोपीस बने हुए हैं। पारा चढ़ने से पानी की खपत अधिक होती है। घरेलू कामकाज निपटाने और हलक तर करने के लिए लोगों को घरों से बाहर जाकर पानी ढोने को मजबूर होना पड़ रहा हैं। क्षेत्रवासी राजेश बड़थ्वाल, विनय और सावित्री ने बताया कि पहले ही पूरे दिन में मुश्किल 2 से 3 घंटे पानी आता था। लेकिन अब पानी की सप्लाई पूरी तरह ठप हो गई है।
घरों से बाहर जाकर सार्वजनिक स्टैंड पोस्ट और हैंडपंप आदि से पानी भरकर ला रहे हैं, इससे अधिक समय पानी ढोने में ही बीत जाता है। जल संस्थान से पेयजल दिक्कत को दूर करने की मांग की है। वहीं, मायाकुंड क्षेत्र से सटे चंद्रभागा कॉलोनी क्षेत्र में लो-प्रेशर की समस्या है। लोगों का कहना कि गर्मी बढ़ने के बाद पानी की दिक्कत गहरा गई है।
