स्मार्ट पुलिसिंग का एक और कदम- हरिद्वार में सेल्फ बैलेंसिंग स्कूटर से गश्त करेगी पुलिस
हरिद्वार। स्मार्ट पुलिसिंग की ओर एक और कदम बढ़ाते हुए उत्तराखण्ड पुलिस ने एक ऐसी पहल की है जिससे ना ही सिर्फ नागरिकों को सूरक्षा मिलेगी बल्कि हरिद्वार आने वाले पर्यटक भी बेपरवाह होकर यहां का आनंद ले सकेंगे। दरअसल पर्यटको और स्थानीय नागरिकों की सुरक्षा के लिए हरिद्वार में पुलिस सेल्फ बैलेंसिंग स्कूटर से गश्त करेगी और जनपद के पैदल रास्तों, गंगा घाटों एवं भीड़भाड़ वाले इलाकों में अपनी पैनी नजर रखेंगी जिससे जनपद में अपराध पर लगाम लगाई जा सकेगी।
जिसकी शुरूआत आज शुक्रवार को उत्तराखंड पुलिस कर चुकी है। जी हां डीजीपी अभिनव कुमार ने पुलिस मुख्यालय से हरी झंडी दिखाकर 04 सेल्फ बैलेंसिंग इलेक्ट्रिक स्कूटर हरिद्वार को रवाना किया है। इतना ही नही उत्कर्ष स्मॉल फाइनेंस बैंक ने उत्तराखण्ड पुलिस को 04 सेल्फ बैलेंसिंग इलेक्ट्रिक स्कूटर भी सौंपे हैं।
पुलिस महानिदेशक ने बताया कि संकरी गलियों में आसानी से चलने की क्षमता रखने वाले यह स्कूटर भीड़ प्रबंधन में मदद करेंगे। साथ ही यह इलेक्ट्रिक स्कूटर पर्यावरण के अनुकूल भी हैं। हरिद्वार के 08 कर्मियों को इन सेल्फ बैलेंसिंग इलेक्ट्रिक स्कूटरों को चलाने का प्रशिक्षण भी दिया गया है। भविष्य में मसूरी मॉल रोड़, देहरादून पलटन बाजार में भी इनका उपयोग किया जाएगा। सेल्फ बैलेंसिंग इलेक्ट्रिक स्कूटरों को चलाने का प्रशिक्षण प्राप्त कर चुके 08 कर्मियों को पुलिस महानिदेशक ने प्रशस्ति पत्र भी दिए।
